Pamphlet

Here is our pamphlet:

3/11/10

We just got our T-Shirts back from Native Graphix and they look amazing. Our pamphlets are also completed, and so we have begun selling the shirts!!

As far as meeting with HOMEY, that did not turn out so well. Our contact from HOMEY had scheduled a meeting with us for Monday May 10th and forgot about it, so it didn't work out.

3/4/10

We are almost done with our pamphlet--just need to add a few finishing touches. Our T-Shirts come in 6 days. Our T-Shirt project is right on schedule.
Our contact for the potential documentary, William, finally emailed us back. However, he has not confirmed a date to come meet with us.
On Thursday we plan to talk to the Rethinking the Juvenile Justice System group about advertising our T-Shirt design. We also plan to talk about our final presentation and the documentary.

Where We're At

As of right now, our documentary idea is not looking very solid because the main person we planned on interviewing, is not responding to our emails. We are hoping to obtain some footage before the end of the school year.
Because of this, we have shifted our main project. We have already made a T-Shirt design, and ordered 100 T-shirts from Native Graphix, which is partnered with HOMEY. This way, a portion of the money spent on the T-shirts will go towards HOMEY. We will get the shirts on May 10th. We plan to sell all of the T-shirts and hand out a pamphlet with them. We are now working on the pamphlet. We intend for it to provide insight into our dilemma and explain the real causes for our dilemma. We will sell the shirts for $10-12 each. We want to donate the money we make back to HOMEY.
The point of making and selling the shirts is that we will be donating more than $1200 to HOMEY, which is more than we could have originally given, while raising awareness about our dilemma.
